New Blue Shoes
These are my most recent shoe purchase. I fell in love with them as soon as I put my feet into them. I found them on clearance at DSW and was thrilled! Needless to say, I centered my entire outfit around featuring these heels. The dress, a cotton/ jersey material, has an adorable simplicity that I love. Especially with the lower cut back, I think it was the perfect dress to be juxtaposed to my slightly more eccentric shoes.
Whimsical Innocence
Recently I went downtown for a History project; as I was studying the monuments, I saw this girl. Her outfit emulated a sense of innocence within exploration which I fell in love with. Her youthful dress and school girl socks juxtaposed to her posture in the way she looked at the camera presents a warming picture. It absolutely refreshing to find this inspiration within Indiana!
My mom was going through her jeans, and I found these which I thought would be perfect to wear high wasted, mock vintage. It has been so beautiful in Indiana, it was so fun to prance around in this springy outfit!
I paired my leopard form fitting dress with a loose man’s Ralph Lauren yellow button- up, and black sparkly chucks. Loved this outfit because it dressed down the seriousness of the dress to make it casual and fun :)
Why can’t we bring back these classic looks??
I recently went to an awesome event that really made me step back and contemplate the many beauties found in art. Lately I have been feeling extremely burdened by the lack of passion and effort at art among my sphere encompassed in the Midwest. But I had the amazing blessing of attending an event entitled “Happy Hour” hosted by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. This event specifically featured Time for Three and an Indie musician Shara Worden.
If you have never seen or heard of either of these artists I highly recommend researching them. Worden had previously been trained in classical opera, and therefore infused this foundation into her music, making it classically eclectic.
With so many avenues of art from blogging, music, fashion, painting, architecture, language, cultural expressions, and array of instruments they really do provide personal lenses into breathtaking beauty.
My sister Emma bought this adorable blue polka-dot dress in Chicago at Forever 21 for $12, and the yellow shoes at a vintage shop for $8.The exaggerated sleeve volume are perfect for her petite frame. Perfect day to soak up the sun, we are so blessed right now in Indiana to be experiencing 70 degrees and sunshine!

Bikes and wine my favorites! Add a day spent reading in the sun, and I’d be lost in a black whole of contentment….
